Westcliff women's soccer made history Friday afternoon, breaking the program record for wins in a season with a 5–0 rout of Pacific Union at Orange Coast College.
The victory marked the Warriors' 13th of the year, surpassing the previous single-season mark and extending their unbeaten run in conference play to 6–0.
It was another dominant, workmanlike performance from a team that has evolved into one of the NAIA's most consistent sides.
Jysabella Tolentino, already Westcliff's all-time goals leader, scored her 30th career goal in the 16th minute to double the lead after assisting on the opener just over a minute into the match.
Jordyn Gather scored twice, while Samantha Aguila and Amylette Lopez each added goals to complete the five-goal outburst.
In goal, Kayli Cokley made one save and tied the program's all-time record with 73 career saves, combining with Edith Antolino for the team's 10th shutout of the season.
Head coach Jack Gidney was proud of both the result and the milestones that came with it.
"Really pleased with another big win and another clean sheet," Gidney said. "The goal inside the first minute set the tone. We lost a bit of fizz in the second half, but I was really impressed with some of the players who came in — Jayd, Kate, Ari, and Josie in particular."
Gidney also praised Tolentino's continued excellence. "A special note about Jay as well," he said. "Thirty goals in two years and still counting is astounding. Fully deserved."
With the victory, Westcliff improved to 13-1-1 overall and 6-0 in conference play.
The Warriors will close the regular season Sunday, when they honor their senior class at Orange Coast College and look to clinch a league title.
