Westcliff handled its business on the road Sunday night, turning in a composed 3–1 win over Stanton at Great Park Stadium to stay steady through the home stretch of conference play.
Jysabella Tolentino opened the scoring just four minutes in, finishing a pass from Samantha Aguila to give the Warriors an early lift.
The program's all-time leading scorer doubled the advantage in the 19th minute, this time from an assist by Emma Albino, pushing her record mark even further.
Aguila added a goal of her own early in the second half off a feed from Jordyn Gather to make it 3–0 before Stanton pulled one back in the 69th.
Goalkeeper Kayli Cokley finished with two saves, moving within two of breaking the Westcliff women's soccer all-time saves record.
"We are hitting the stage of the year where it's now the home stretch. All that matters is the results," head coach Jack Gidney said. "We had lots of the ball, and Stanton sat in a deeper block which is always hard to break down. I thought we created more than enough chances and should have had more than three. So disappointed a little in the lack of cutting edge for us, and obviously disappointed to have finally conceded one. Delighted for the group though — another win, great night in the stadium and we press ahead now to round out the conference in style."
Gidney named Aguila the team's Player of the Game for her goal and assist performance.
Westcliff outshot Stanton 18–3 and held an 8–0 advantage in corner kicks.
The Dubs (12-1-1, 5-0) host Pacific Union Friday at OCC.
The match is scheduled for 1 p.m.
