After Friday's match against The Master's, Westcliff Warriors hosted the University of La Verne.
Warriors wasted no time with a foul on the edge of the Leopards box. Jordan Di Lonardo who scored a hat trick against the mustangs. Opened up the game with another free kick goal in the opening 2 minutes of the game.
Di Lonardo would be joined minutes later with Lennard Schneider grabbed another goal to extend the warriors lead 2-0.
La Verne wasn't sitting back at all putting pressure of the warrior defense. Heading into halftime Leopards scored a goal off of a corner kick to keep the game close at 2-1.
The 2nd half was a battle between the two squads. Westcliff had to defend 4 corner kicks which saw La Verne create dangerous shots in the Warriors box. Both sides commiting fouls with 3 yellow cards being issued out to the Warriors.
The Warriors were eating away at the clock until it read 0:00. Westcliff grabbed the win 2-1 to improve their record to 2-1 on the season.
Warriors will play Bethesda on Sept. 6th at 7:30pm at the OC Great Park.
