Westcliff beat (RV) the Hawks 5-0

It was a sunny day down at the OC Great Park for some Beach Volleyball action. Westcliff with less than 24 hours preparation changed their match against (RV) San Diego Christian from a scrimmage to an official match. It did not matter to the Warriors as they came out to play against a team that was receiving votes in the NAIA Beach Preseason Polls. All Beach Pairs took care of business as they swept the Hawks 5-0 in their first match of the season.

Coaches Notes

"We are very proud of the way our girls performed with this match being very last minute. They rose to the occasion and didn't question anything. We told them at 8pm last night and they went alright let's do it... We have only been training them for the past month so it has been very awesome to see their growth." - Coach Kenny Ma

" We are all proud of the girls this has been a long time coming for our 3rd season here at Westcliff. Technically this is our 1st season of competition which is awesome especially for our super seniors that have stuck around. It is exciting for them. We are now finally gelling and going over things bringing everything to a high level. The players are making big plays and reading the game well. The love and respect that the players have for each other it is the biggest thing for us right now.
