The top-seeded Westcliff women's beach volleyball team kicked off the Cal Pac Championships with a 4-1 win over Saint Katherine Thursday morning at the Elite Athlete Training Center in Chula Vista.
By: SID Chase Dodge Westcliff Beach Volleyball went up to CSUN for a double match on Tuesday. The Warriors currently on a 4-match streak wanted to keep that streak alive. Westcliff in the first match dominated with a final score of 4-1. This is the first win against an NCAA D1 opponent in Beach Volleyball program history. This is also Westcliff Athletic's first victory against an NCAA D1 opponent. Following the historic victory our Warriors faced off against CSUN again for the second time. This contest was a little bit closer with each pair's match coming down to the final points. Westcliff again take the win 3-2 in game 2. Westcliff are now 6-0 on the season. Standout performances with our 1st pair Gianna Guinasso and Sierra Lim that won out twice today improve their record to 6-0 on the season. Another standout pair Elena Eckhardt and Megan Yoon who played great in the first match and absolutely dominated the second match with scores of 21-15 & 21-11!
