Westcliff Warriors hosted their last non-conference match before the conference season. Warriors were taking on the Stanton University Elks.
Warriors took control from the moment of Kick-off. Alberte Angersbach once again got the goal scoring rolling first with her 3rd goal of the season and her 3rd Game Winning Goal of the season.
Westcliff followed it up with another goal from Jordyn Gather :40 seconds later. Camila Montes scored two goals coming off the bench in her 2nd straight game. Jysabella Tolentino, Monique Cervantes and Isabella Covarrubias also grabbed a goal apiece.
Warriors finish the Elks with a 7-0 scoreline to improve to 4-0-1.
Coaches' Notes
"I thought the girls went up a half gear tonight. Really explosive start. Could have had 5 in first 15. Some wonderful team goals.
Standout Camila Montes coming off the bench to score 2 for the 2nd time in 2 games. She will be knocking on my door.
Felt there was a period towards the end of the first half and a lull in the second half, where we can't find the right balance of when to over commit offensively and when to just retain. Thought it was too gung-ho in the first half and too passive in the second, so we need some work on understanding those rhythms and recognizing those moments, but I'm being picky. It's another dominant performance from the squad where we look a class above. Really pleased." - Head Coach Jack Gidney
