Men's Soccer grabs 2 Wins up North

Westcliff Warriors went up North to take on Cal State Maritime and Pacific Union College in their two of three away games of the season.

The 1st match of the weekend was against CSUM. Warriors were able to strike early with a goal from Jordan Di Lonardo. Westcliff earn the win against the Keelhaulers 5-0. Lucas Rosell, Demitri Rodriguez Robles and Mohamed Sidi Haiba each grab a goal. Di Lonardo earns a brace. 

Back up Keeper Fabi Jager played in the 2nd half and grabbed 3 saves to keep the shutout alive for the Warriors.

Sunday Westcliff travelled up farther north to take on Pacific Union.

Warriors had a very tough time dealing with the tough terrain of the pitch. Westcliff was having trouble finding the back of the net for the opening 20 minutes. A loose ball in the air from Lucas Rosell found the feet of Facundo Palacio that punched the 0-0 score line. 

Warriors unfortunately committed a foul against the Pioneers that allowed the equalizing goal. Westcliff and Pacific Union enter halftime both tied 1-1.

Westcliff was able to put the pressure on the Pioneers. 2nd Goal from Finn Juttner with the assist from Jordan Di Lonardo.

Warriors were able to hold on to grab an important win on the road. Heredia finished with 2 saves. Westcliff dominated the box score with 20 shots and 3 Corner Kicks.

Westcliff Warriors are back at home this thursday 10/10 at 7:00pm at the OC Great Park Field 18 taking on UC Merced.
