It's been a season with incredible highs for the Westcliff men's soccer team.
On Saturday they played the final game of the 2023 regular season and closed it out with the win against UAV, 2-1.
This put their overall record at 15-1 and the Cal Pac conference record at 11-1.
Also, because it was the last home game, the Warriors continued their tradition of recognizing all 17 of this year's seniors with a ceremony prior to the match.
This was one of the biggest graduating classes in Westcliff Athletics and it will be one to remember after the kind of season that they had.
The list of seniors in no particular order is the following: Mamadou Diaby, Daniel Segal, Rui Tsubakihara, Lucas Rosell, Quentin Hornung, Sahand Teimori, John Adekunle, Goncalo Costa, Mathias Eriksen, Diego Montes, Vincenzo Centrella, Gledi Doda, Pablo Molinos, Wissem Obeid, Mert Kiyga, Marius Brondbo, and Ignacio Martinez.
It was a dream team lineup that head coach Randy Dodge was able to put together and they showed it on the field, breaking records all season long.
The No. 1 team in the Cal Pac had already secured their sport in the postseason tournament and earned a spot in the NAIA national tournament as well.
The Warriors are set and locked in the Cal Pac tournament and will await the winner of the first round for a match in the semifinals.
The No. 1 and 2 seeds in the conference get a BYE to the semifinals.
This means that the Warriors are awaiting their opponent and will play on Thursday, November 9th, at 4:30PM.
The Cal Pac Championships will take place at La Sierra.
