CLAREMONT, CA - The Westcliff Track & Field team competed at the Pomona Pitzer All-Comers meet held at Pomona Pitzer University.
Opening up the day for the Westcliff Warriors was freshman Eduardo Miranda, he wasted little time to set a personal record in the long jump. His best jump of 5.81m (19’00.75) will go down as the second best in school history.
In the 400m dash, Freshmen Tyler Moss placed first in his heat, Freshman Isaiah Allen placed third in his heat, and freshman Jaslynne Aldridge, finished 2nd in her heat.
Eddie Miranda boosted his personal record again in the triple jump and set the school record of 12.46m (40’10.50).
In the 200m dash, Freshman Moss shattered the school record he just posted at the previous meet, running 22.5. Sophomore Wilcox ran a season best, placing fourth in his heat. Freshman Allen and Miranda b0oth lowered their personal records the first time running the 200 this season.
Head Coach Alaine Tate mentioned, “I am proud everyone that competed was able to execute successfully. There is still much to be done and we are on the right track” (pun intended).
The Westcliff Warriors will be competing at the Soka Invitational Meet on February 22nd at Soka University. You can find complete meet results here.
