Warriors Set the Pace

LONG BEACH, CA - The Westcliff Track & Field team competed at the Beach Opener meet held at Long Beach State University.


Opening up the day for the Westcliff Warriors was freshman Eduardo Miranda and Isaac Cota-Angulo in the Long Jump. Freshman Cota-Angulo then went on to join the men’s 4x100m with freshman Kalonni Wilcox, Tyler Moss, and junior transfer Brandon Hasson. The 4x1 relay placed second in their heat.


Many athletes opened up in their main event. In the 100m dash, Sophomore Wilcox opened up winning his heat with an 11.56. Freshman Isaiah Allen competed in the 400m hurdles. Freshman Jaslynne Aldridge competed in the 800m. Junior transfer Emily Gamboa competed in the shot put opening up at 8.96m.  


Head Coach Pamela Marshall quotes, “Today was a building day for the outdoor season, allowing us all to see where we need to work at practice”.


The Westcliff Warriors will be competing at the Ross and Sharon Irwin Collegiate on March 21st at Point Loma University. You can find complete meet results here.
