Simone Hall turned in another sterling performance for the Westcliff University women’s basketball team Sunday, scoring 23 points to lead the Warriors past St. Katherine, 79-63, at Mira Costa College.

The Warriors collected 53 rebounds as a team, the second-best total of the season, and turned in a season-best 25 assists.

“The biggest thing for us today was our hustle points and deflections,” Westcliff head coach Kyle Rouse said. “We were in the passing lanes and created a lot of transition points with our defensive intensity.”

Lauren Davis scored 16, collected 10 boards and handed out five assists.

Mammusu Secka turned in 18 and nine boards, and Mary Dishoian dealt five dimes.

“Since we’ve been back from Christmas break, I have loved our energy and unselfishness,” Rouse said. “That’s one of the main reasons why we are having success right now.”

The Warriors will now enjoy a few days off before lacing them up once again Saturday at Bethesda.
