Tustin, Ca. - The Westcliff Warriors opened their season with a strong win against Providence Christian College. The Warriors won in three-set decision in their home match against the Seabeggars. Set scores were 25-22, 25-19, 25-15.

“Today we had our first opening season match against Providence Christian College, and we did exceptionally well,” noted Interim Head Coach Derrick Trent. “I am really proud and happy of the way they played, responded, and competed today. They showed me that we are very deep and if I need someone to come in and produce they will be able to get the job done. Today was a complete team effort and they showed the hard work that they have been putting in on and off the court. We are always excited to come to practice and get better. This is a very promising start to our season. Go Warriors!”

Outside Hitter Amanda Gross lead the team with 9 kills, and Libero Rylee Adair totaled 10 digs.

Westcliff is back in action on Tuesday, August 20th against San Diego Christian College. The match will start at 6pm at Santiago Canyon College.
